On the Night Journey…

Posted on: October 16, 2013

…the world within us will be transformed

We are very excited to be traversing the streets of Galway on Sunday 27th October with this year’s parade ‘On the Night Journey’.

‘On the Night Journey’ tells the story of the Boy Explorer as he parades his dreams, fears, past and present through an autumn evening. Featuring iconic Macnas images alongside newly designed bespoke costumes, original music, masks, stilt walkers, drummers, flares, light, smoke, shadow and the boundless performance energy the world has come to know and love from Macnas, this promises to be a magical evening of the familiar and the unknown.

The parade leaves Fisheries Field at 4:45pm and takes the following route: Eglinton Street – Shop Street – High Street – Quay Street – Wolfe Tone Bridge – Dominick Street Upper (via the Fire Station & Kashmir Restaurant)- The parade ends on the corner of Upper Dominick Street and Henry Street.

We look forward to seeing you on our journey!
